I don't know what's been Ez's problem this week. She hasn't taken hardly any good naps this week & has had trouble getting to sleep at night. Yesterday she woke up at 5:48 and would NOT go back to sleep. We were supposed to go to a new ladies class at the bldg. that Bea Dunbar was teaching at 10:00 but those plans flew out the window. She was ready to go back to bed about 9:00 but only slept an hour & 40 minutes. Then yesterday aft. she only slept 40 minutes. She slept til 7:28 this morning, approx 10:30-12 and it was almost 3:30 before she went to sleep this aft. & she fought it really bad. She woke up at 4:20 cause the neighbor was using his weed eater. I was surprised when the lawn mower didn't wake her up—it did me.
We tried to go to bed at 10:00 last night but of course she woke up. Guy stayed up with her since it was his night to put her to bed. I couldn't get to sleep til he got back & it was almost 11:00. I'd like to go to bed early tonight but that probably won't happen.
After I rocked her and sang to her a few minutes I laid her down & she started crying. I tried to get her to stay down so I could pat her bottom but she wouldn't. I had to go downstairs & get a MAM pacifier. We had two up & two downstairs but one of the upstairs ones has been missing since last night. She used to hold on to the NUK ones but she doesn't seem to want anything at all to do with them anymore. I don't know where that other MAM could be. We've looked everywhere—except where it is. She cried for about 10 minutes after I gave her the other MAM. She was up late anyway cause Guy was mowing & told me to wait til he was done so that wouldn't wake her up. It was about 9:05-10 when she stopped crying. It's only been 30 minutes & I heard her stirring once—maybe she was just turning over. We've started closing her door completely instead of leaving it open a crack cause when she stands up at the end of the crib she can reach the door enough to open it. I wonder if that's what's giving her such a hard time?
